Hi, I'm Onna, Owner of Onna's Sweets & Eats!

I’ve been baking for as long as I can remember. I got my first job many years ago at a Kroger’s, where I first learned the fundamentals of baking.

The first cake I made wasn’t perfect. The frosting was a little lumpy. The layers weren’t exactly even. And you couldn’t tell what the icing was trying to say. But it was okay. Because when I saw how excited the customers at the store were anyway, it made me happy that something I made lit up someone’s day that much.

This made me so excited that I started experimenting on my time off. New flavors. New techniques. New designs that went beyond the same tired sheet cakes everyone else at the store was making. It was fun!

And it made me realize I wanted to do this for others too.

So I started Onna’s Sweets & Eats. I started off with my son, Malaki. (I baked him a chocolate cake for his 15th birthday, and he loved it!) Then I expanded to my family members. Those family members started telling their friends, and so it began.

Now, I have customers tell me every day how much they enjoy the taste of my cakes. It truly warms my heart to be able to pour my heart into creating cakes that make people smile. If you’re looking for the perfect cake, characuterie board, or treat for your celebration, don’t hesitate to reach out!
